Wild mountain bike trails

The community of communes of the Clermontais manages the 13 mountain bike trails located on its territory (authorisation of passage with the owners concerned, maintenance and securing of the trails: clearing of undergrowth, pruning, marking out, etc.).

Mountain bikers can thus use the marked routes of the labelled mountain bike area n°51 of Salagou all year round, in complete safety.

For some time now, "wild" tracks have been created on private land without authorisation. These "new paths" are becoming more and more numerous and are regularly used by mountain bikers.

Such practices cause damage to our natural areas, increase the danger in hunting areas and create recurrent conflicts of use with the owners of the plots concerned.

We therefore recommend that you follow the signposting of the labelled trails.
